What
is the V-Hive? The V-Hive is a collection of Internet-based resources supporting Pensacola State College students and the learning process. Many of the tools are available to all career and technical students and are conveniently accessible on the V-Hive home page. These public materials include links to other web sites offering assistance with math, reading, writing, basic computing and study skills. There are also links to sites with academic & reference materials, like dictionaries, encyclopedias, biographies, quotations, and digital images of artworks. To access these tools, click on "homework helpers" on the home page. There are also links to help prepare for standard exams like the GED, TABE, and CPT tests and for the Applied Health and Nursing entrance exams. To access these tools, click on "placement and entrance exams" on the V-Hive home page. What are V-Hive e-learning study halls? In addition to the public tools described above, there are specialized tool kits, called study halls, which are available by subscription only for Pensacola State College students enrolled in A.S., A.A.S., and certificate programs. These FREE study halls contain links to Internet sites which can help students complete course assignments and study for assessments in their curriculum. Currently, there are web-based study halls for: Legal Assisting, Criminal Justice, Nursing Fundamentals, Applied Health, Business & Accounting, Health Office Operations, General Office Operations, Landscaping & Horticulture, Criminal Justice, and Basic Computing.
